Hotel Glymur

Ideally located 45 minutes from Reykjavik, Hotel Glymur overlooks the stunning Whale fjord and at the end of the fjord, the Glymur waterfall (which is one of the highest waterfalls in Europe) can be seen.

Tranquil, remote and romantic are the words that have been used to describe this beautiful resort – simply drink in the scenery!

There are some great places of interest to visit in the area including the Akranes Museum Centre which displays a collection of old Icelandic houses, the Akranes Folk Museum holding a collection of historical exhibits and the Museum of Icelandic Minerals with its comprehensive displays of rocks, minerals, and fossils.
