About
Finland is a land of vast forests, crystal-clear lakes and untouched Arctic wilderness, offering a sense of peace and space that is increasingly rare to find. Having spent decades exploring the country and building relationships with local communities, we focus on showcasing the quieter side of Finland, away from the crowds and deep within its most beautiful natural landscapes. From the remote beauty of Lake Inari in the far north to hidden villages surrounded by forests and fells, our holidays are designed to immerse you in authentic Finnish culture, warm hospitality and the simple pleasures of life in the Arctic. Long summer days are perfect for exploring by boat or kayak, hiking through pine forests, relaxing in traditional saunas and enjoying the freshest local cuisine while discovering a country that feels both wild and wonderfully welcoming.
What is Midnight Sun?
One of Finland’s most extraordinary natural phenomena is the Midnight Sun, when the sun barely dips below the horizon and, in the far north, may not set at all. Seen during the summer months, typically from late May to late July in Finnish Lapland, this endless daylight transforms the landscape with a golden glow that continues throughout the night. The Midnight Sun creates a completely different rhythm of life, where evenings stretch endlessly and nature can be enjoyed at any hour of the day. Whether taking a late-night walk beside Lake Inari, kayaking across still waters beneath the soft Arctic light or simply soaking up the tranquillity of the wilderness, summer in Finland offers a magical experience unlike anywhere else in Europe.
