Northern Lights Resort and Spa
The Northern Lights Resort and Spa is surrounded by 160 acres of beautiful frozen wilderness. Only a 20-minute drive south of Whitehorse, the lodge and cabins are close to snow-capped pine forests and have wide open views to the north, looking out to the mountains beyond.
Not far from the Yukon River and with a perfect viewing deck for Northern Lights displays, this is a magical place to stay. Furthermore, with its close proximity to Whitehorse, it is incredibly easy to take part in several exciting winter activities.
Hotel facilities
- The hotel has a relaxing outdoor Jacuzzi as well as a wellness area with Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, gym, relaxation and massage area (treatments payable locally)
- Guests can also warm up in front of the hotel’s cosy fireplace or keep watch for the Northern Lights from the vantage point of the outdoor deck
- Meals are home cooked and served family style, utilising fresh ingredients and sourcing local products as much as possible
- Free Wi-Fi is available in the main lodge
Room types
Log cabins
Built from local Yukon timber, each of the cabins has been furnished in a warm and welcoming fashion. They are fitted with either a double bed or twin beds, en-suite bathroom, sitting area with fireplace, TV and hairdryer. They vary in size with some able to accommodate more than two adults.
Guest room
The guest room is attached to the main lodge building. This spacious room has been designed in a classic Canadian cabin style, with a warm and elegant feel. Fitted with a queen bed, there is also a fridge, electric heater, TV and hairdryer, as well as a large en-suite bathroom.
Aurora Glass Cabins
There are 3 glass-fronted cabins at the resort, built with large, floor-to-ceiling windows, designed for Aurora viewing. They are fitted with a double bed, en-suite bathroom, TV and sitting area with fireplace.
