- Andy Marshall
Andy developed a love for adventure at an early age and after many years working for a small golf holiday operator, he decided to pursue his true passion of seeking some bucket list experiences. He is delighted to now also have the opportunity to sample some destinations that would otherwise be off limits and help like-minded travellers experience the same.
Having always previously thought that holidays are something which should be enjoyed in warmth and sunshine, Andy has been converted to winter travel and the amazing experiences on offer. A particular favourite destination for Andy would be Sörbyn Lodge in Swedish Lapland where his first dinner was interrupted by the news of the Northern Lights dancing in the dark Arctic sky above. Andy rushed outside to witness the spellbinding Aurora and spent hours watching it glisten above the lodge. It was a dream come true for Andy to tick the Northern Lights off his bucket list.
Another memorable trip took Andy to Northern Norway’s coastal region. During the visit, the landscape was awash with the burnished colours of autumn making the scenery quite majestic to behold. Visiting multiple tiny islands such as Senja that are surrounded by pure emerald-green waters felt almost otherworldly. In other locations around Northern Norway, the landscape is staggeringly rugged and grand. The mountains rise sharply at the side of the roads and even on a gloomy day offer a brooding and majestic sight with water cascading down the side of the mountains in hundreds of small waterfalls. Andy recommends Northern Norway to all those seeking adventure in truly spectacular surroundings.
Andy dreams of next travelling to some warmer destinations such as Gozo, Madeira, and Croatia.
