Jade McKay

Growing up in Northumberland, Jade spent a lot of her younger years outside, with her fondest childhood memories being in the great outdoors. Since graduating from University, Jade has been lucky enough to venture to Australia to explore the East Coast on a gap year as well as crafting an exciting three-month itinerary across South East Asia where she immersed herself in the culture, enjoyed meeting new people and savoured the delicious local cuisines.

As the latest member of the Customer Service team here at Artisan Travel, Jade has started to add a whole new list of destinations to her ever-increasing bucket list. She recently travelled to Finland where she took part in some incredible first-time experiences, including dog sledding, snowmobiling, a reindeer safari, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. She particularly enjoyed exploring the frozen lake on snowshoes and found that she was able to manoeuvre across the fresh snow with ease whilst admiring the beautiful landscape. Jade also loved experiencing a traditional Finnish sauna followed by an invigorating roll in the snow – certainly one way to feel truly energised!

After the excitement of her winter activity holiday, Jade would love to wind down and visit the Azores, travelling from island to island. Her ideal trip would include visiting the picture perfect viewpoints, trekking across the volcanic landscape and swimming with dolphins in the Atlantic Ocean.
