Jono Archer

Originally born and bred in Kent, Jono studied at Newcastle University and now lives in Northumberland. Jono started working here in early 2014, within the Product and Operations Department and is responsible for sourcing new holiday products and managing existing ones.

Jono's most memorable travel experience is flight-seeing from the city of Anchorage, Alaska. Climbing aboard a floatplane; taking off from Lake Hood and rising up and through the Chugach Mountain Range, past gigantic glaciers, slowly winding down into the glorious, unspoiled Prince William Sound: filled with beautiful waterfalls, humpback whales and more islands than you can imagine. Landing next to a private beach and hiking into the temperate rainforest whilst searching for bear tracks.

Jono's favourite destination is (as you can probably guess) Alaska. With an abundance of wildlife, some of the most spectacular scenery on the planet and the chance to participate in once-in-a-lifetime activities, such as sea kayaking with whales, to summer dog mushing (via helicopter) on a glacier, Alaska has it all.
